The Information and Referral Center was established by the American Parkinson Disease
Association in 2006. Our center serves all of the East Texas area and serves as a resource for persons with Parkinson's
Disease (PD), their caregivers, family members and health care professionals.
The Center is located at East
Texas Medical Center - Olympic Plaza Building, Suite 906, in Tyler, Texas and serves the following counties: Anderson,
Angelina, Bowie, Brazos, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Delta, Fannin, Franklin, Freestone, Grayson, Gregg, Grimes, Harrison, Henderson,
Hill, Hopkins, Houston, Hunt, Kaufman, Lamar, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Morris, Nacogdoches, Navarro, Panola,
Polk, Rains, Red River, Rusk, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Smith, Titus, Trinity, Tyler, Upshur, Van Zandt, Walker,
Washington and Wood.
Our Information and Referral Center Parkinson Coordinator is Kelly M. Boutin, CCRC.
She has been with the I & R Center since April 2007. Ms. Boutin is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator
and provides a ready source of current information about Parkinson's disease, answers questions about the disease, offers
educational materials, provides a comprehensive resource and referral network and presents local and regional symposiums and
educational in-service and publications. She works very well and along side with the Chapter to provide special programs,
Chapter memberships and assist in the planning and coordination of fundraising events for East Texas.
